PRO BASKETBALL — May 14
Game 5 — Eastern Conference Playoffs
CLEVELAND (+9) at BOSTON (Total 176) — Cleveland did not have a lot of success shooting the basketball in the first two games at the TD Banknorth Garden, hitting 31% and just under 36%. We said at the outset that Cleveland had enough manpower, if not firepower, to keep these games close, and the Celtics, who shot 47.5% on the season, has been five percentage points under that in each of the games thus far. LeBron james has figured out a way to get some offense going, as he scored 21 points with 13 assists in Game 4, and Wally Szczerbiak looks like he is getting busier (14 points in the last game). We’re not looking for the kind of Boston blowouts like we saw in the series with Atlanta. This Cavs team has a little more bite.
